Pitchfork Turns 15

Holy Cow. Pitchfork, the online Bible of hipness that became THE definitive tastemaker in the post-Nirvana indie rock world has turned 15.  This is liking waking up to realize I’m the parent of a teenager. I’m officially O….L….D….


but not too old to appreciate great rock writing, which is what the contributors are giving us today in this series of pieces wherein they pick one song per year and have a writer reflect on how it impacted them.  It’s not a definitive list, but as a whole, a nice way of looking at how the indie scene has impacted a few lives along the way.
